Michael Savitsky: chi
Michael Savitsky: description of chi
According to feng shui, and as Michael Savitsky explains,
chi is the energy that permanently surrounds us. Chi is a
very important notion not only in feng shui but in the Chinese
culture in general, and it has been related to the basis of
feng shui since the beginnings of the discipline.
Michael Savitsky: its importance
Chi is very important due to the fact that it is actually
everywhere and interacts with every space in which we can
be. The energy present everywhere and in everything called
chi is fundamental for feng shui and achieving a well balanced
and harmonic environment in which to live.
Michael Savitsky: some concepts
As Michael Savitsky explains, there are some basic concepts
that are important to have in mind at the time of applying
feng shui to any environment. One of these main concepts you
should have in mind when applying feng shui to your house
is that chi needs to be able to flow freely, and, for example,
any environment crowded with furniture and objects would be
an obstacle for it. Besides this, chi should also flow in
a place which receives as much light and fresh air as possible,
since dark and non ventilated areas tend to cause chi to be
stuck or even repel it.
Michael Savitsky: chi flow
According to Michael Savitsky, in some cases the chi flow
can be redirected. When necessary, the chi flow can be intersected
with a piece of furniture, a curtain or a mirror. One of the
most usual cases in which this is necessary is when the house
front door is in line with a back door and chi would tend
to enter and leave the house fast without flowing around in
the rest of the rooms.
